Liberty Walk Sapporo Store Introduces JDM-Inspired Desk Setups with original konbini and Dream Customs

[2 july 2025]

Liberty Walk's new store in sapporo will debut a groundbreaking retail concept on July 3, 2025: jdm-inspired desk setups that transform workspaces into expressions of automotive passion.

the installations feature exclusive collaborations with
original konbini and Dream Customs, marking the evolution of jdm culture from garage to desktop.

the sapporo store opening introduces two new colourways that tell the story of Liberty Walk's journey:

samurai blue

inspired by Liberty Walk's iconic blue f40 and japanese heritage

new york black

representing their global expansion and iconic murdered-out builds.

these limited editions follow the viral success of original konbini and Dream Customs' first drop, which sold out quickly.

the collaboration transforms the traditional workspace into a piece of automotive culture. Dream Customs' deskpads function as dioramas, recreating the parking lot scenes for diecasts collectors to display their collections where car culture thrives not only in the real world, but in the 1/64 collectible world as well. paired with original konbini's JDM mechanical keyboards, they bring Japanese car culture to the workspace.

"this isn't just a keyboard anymore – it's a complete jdm workspace transformation," said xavier tan, co-founder of original konbini. "the deskpad recreates the parking lot scenes with slots for your favourite diecast cars. paired with the limited edition Liberty Walk mechanical keyboard, this desktop full build captures the true spirit of japanese car culture: modding and customising rides and making it your own."

“this collaboration goes beyond aesthetics — it's a cultural convergence that speaks directly to collectors, creators, and automotive enthusiasts around the world” said swift yan, co-founder of Dream Customs. “our Desktop Diorama was designed not just to be admired, but used by automotive enthusiasts, diecast photographers, youtubers, livestreamers, or anyone who curates a visual aesthetic around cars and diecast collectibles. paired with original konbini’s keyboard, it enhances content creation, desktop setups, and even retail displays, making it a tool as much as a treasure.”

exclusive sapporo store features:

  • limited “chase” units available exclusively at the flagship store

  • chase units come with special engraving on all keyboards sold at Liberty Walk’s Sapporo store

  • extremely limited number of bundles available on site

  • full desk setup installations for customers to experience

  • first opportunity to purchase before worldwide release

the complete collection will be limited to 500 units globally. following the sapporo store opening, pre-orders begin 7 july 2025, at originalkonbini.com and dreamcustoms.co, with units also available through authorised distributors worldwide.

"car fans can now bring the car meet experience to their home office," added xavier tan. "Liberty Walk choosing to feature these setups in their new store validates what we've believed all along – jdm culture is bigger than just cars."

the sapporo store represents Liberty Walk's expansion beyond automotive modification into lifestyle curation, recognizing how their community integrates automotive passion into modern living and workspaces.
